Proposed voter registration form changes can foster illegal voting

Virginia law rightly has few restrictions on voter eligibility.  The few restrictions we have need to be enforced,  There is a reason those who have been legally adjudged mentally incompetent are not allowed to vote.  There is a reason convicted felons are not allowed to vote.  There is a reason persons in this country illegally are not allowed to voted.  With the current form, one has to check boxes indicating he has not been declared incompetent, he is not a convicted felon and he is not in the U.S. illegally.  Checking any one of those boxes  those boxes falsely could be a basis for legal action against the fraudulent voter.  The proposed new form without those boxes removes that protection  against illegal voting and it must be stopped.  It is urgent that you reject this proposed change..
