I strongtly oppose the proposed revised voter registration form.  If adopted, persons not legally qualtified to vote (non- citizens, conficted felons, and mentally incompetent individuals) could registerd to vote by simply "opting-out" of  the currently required questions to confirm that the person registering to vote is legally eligible to register to vote. This is in violation of both the (1) the Code of Virginia and (2) the Virginia Constitution.  Overt statements affirming legal eligibility to register to vote, with falsification of the statements being punishable as a felony, is a necessary part of the application form.
