VOTER REGISTRATION

Special interest groups, corporate money and media bias have reduced the voice of the average citizen. Party leadership is silencing our reprsentatives forcing votes down party lines. UNelected officials are making law and unpopular policy. The right to vote has become a citizens only means to voice displeasure or approval with elected officials and should be protected. The right to vote should remain limited to those who were born here and to those who have pledged their loyality to their new country through our immigration process.Voting is a national security interest and should be treated as such. If I may remind you of your job,( no disrespect intended), you should be protecting that process and assure fairness. Both are equally important and voter ID is just one way to accomplish that goal.

When my wife and I left the state of Maryland and moved to Virginia 5 yrs ago I had to get us removed from the voting rolls in Maryland. Maryland has no voter ID law. How hard would it be for a corrupt official to have used our names to cast votes in a state we no longer reside in? How many are on rolls in Virginia that no longer live here? We should be working hard to keep our voting process secure. Voter ID works.
