I strongly oppose the Virginia Board of Elections proposal to eliminate questions about citizenship and felony convictions. Passing this proposal will forever call into question the integrity of our election process, particularly if we allow non-citizens to vote. Passing the proposal would turn our election process into a free-for-all, and no matter who wins, the election will always be questioned due to the high probability that ineligible voters cast ballots. This will eventually erode the people's faith in our democratic process.
