FIX "TRAP" - keep clinics open!

Thank you for allowing for public comment.  But realize it is not a contest as to how many commentors are pro or con.  Rather it is a matter of public health.  Those who do not want or need abortions don't need or care about these clinics. They are not worried about their own safety and health, because they will never use these clinics.  Their concern is focused a potential life -- not on my life, or the lives of my girlfriends, or a teenager who has been kicked out of her house for getting pregnant, or a rape victim.

Now that the Board of Health finally recognizes the need to amend the medically-unnecessary restrictions, it is past time to act.  Correcting these regulations that were never meant to improve women's health -- only to shut down clinics that provide reproductive services -- is long overdue.  Politicizing women's health is cruel; keeping clinics open saves lives.  Only truly accurate and safe information and practices should be allowed.  I know I am one of the lucky few who can access abortion out-of-state if need be, so I am writing to remind the Board, the Govenor and the General Assembly that while they may not "like" abortion, they will like the results of "back alley" or "home-made" abortion even less.  Many mothers need abortions in order to raise the children they already do have.  Access to a safe, afforable abortion in this Commonwealth should be a right and not a privilege.
