I oppose the change to require written consent for a student to work on an animal.  Technician students need this hands on training and are only allowed to do tasks under the supervision of a veterinarian.  How else do you expect them to gain confidence in their skills?  Would you rather they never touch an animal until they have a license in their hand?  The veterinarians would not let a student do something they couldn't or shouldn't.
