Dear Sir/Madam,

Students need to learn vetenary procedures, but the owner needs to be informed in order to give consent.

To not take this step is very duplicitous and may not be giving the customer or the patient the service they deserve.

When the patient is a beloved pet this could potentially become a life or death situation and therefore needs to be treated with great seriousness.

No student should ever work on a patient without owner consent.
