As a LCSW serving the geriatric population, I regulary work with individuals who no longer have unexpired photo IDs, and in the post-911 world most of them lack the necessary documents to obtain new photo IDs. The proposed regulations that would prevent an expired ID from serving as an acceptable form of ID to vote will create an undue barrier to many in the older population. As an adovate for elder rights, I urge the reconsideration of this proposed requirement.
