The current regulations are extreme and onerous; the intent of those who passed them is not to protect women from one of the safest medical procedures there is, but to shut down women's health clinics for their own religious reasons. Making abortion difficult to obtain will not stop desperate women from trying to get one - it will only make the procedure unsafe.

The prior regulations that applied to all outpatient procedures worked well before; they will work well again.
