The current changes that are taking place will not benefit a vast majority of the clients that are receiving services. There are several clients that will be without a beneficial service that provides them support in the community that has been effective for years. This will result in an increase in hospitalizations and we all know that this will not save money for our state. Having a QMHPP work with seriously mentally ill clients and change the criteria to say that it needs to focus on more skill building rather that a therapeutic approach is not a good idea and needs to be reviewed immediately.
