The proposed TRAP regulations are a blatant attempt by abortion opponents to circumvent the law of the land as interpreted by the Supreme Court of the United States of America.  Whatever your personal feelings oh the subject of abortion, it is not the business of the Board of Health to pursue a religious agenda.  Your job is to protect the health of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia.  In the case of the proposed TRAP regulations. which are not medically necessary, merely restrictive, the best interests of the women of Virginia would be served by rejecting TRAP..  It is my hope that the regulations will be amended to be based purely on medicine and science and should not impede women's access to essential health care.
