Please do not adopt this legislation.  As a parent of two young adults that were identified early on in their education as "gifted", the local school district had very little to offer to support a program of achievement.  Every year, gifted educators are confounded with ways to promote gifted education due to lack of funding and interest on the part of our communities and leaders.  You have recently been given an opportunity to stem the tide and make a difference.  Please give careful consideration to the current revisions of state gifted regulations.
