I do not believe the criteria for becoming a compliance agent should be relaxed...I believe it is extremely important that potential compliance agents have a minimum number of years of management or supervisory experience in the field or equilvalent levels of education.  The responsibilities associated with assuring compliance are sophisticated and require high levels of discipline and commitment.  Taking a class and passing an exam do not necessarily demonstrate those qualities and abilities.
