Training for ES Technicians

I agree their needs to be rules and regulations. Without standards DCJS is more or less a slogan. The last thing i want to see is Jack and Jill's alarm shop opening up and running amuck. I have been a certified ES Technician for six years now. I am the baby at my company. I have co workers with ten, twenty, and even thirty years of experience. Curriculum for someone just starting out should not be the same for somebody with six or twenty years in the industry. On a regular basis I attend trainning classes, from numerous vendors in our industry.  From burgulary and fire alarms, to cameras and access control. Almost all of which were provided by my employer at their office. These classes are relevant. These classes help myself and my fellow co workers learn material that pertains to our jobs. There should be a "intro" class to indiduals coming into the industry to maintain integrity. Thereafter I feel my employer could offer trainning material that is up to date with the ever changing technology in our industry and still maintain integrity of DCJS certification.
