First trimester abortion is a very safe procedure, safer in fact than childbirth.  These new regulations are not about safety in any way, shape, or form.  They are entirely about making access to abortion more costly and difficult, as anti-choice politicians work to outlaw the procedure and push us back to a pre Roe vs Wade era when thousands of women died horrible deaths as a result of botched back-alley abortions.  I am sick and tired of politicians thinking they are capable of making medical decisions for the general population.  Abortion should not even be a legal or political issue.  Leave the practice of medicine up to the medical professionals!
