These regulations are politically motivated with the sole purpose of making it more difficult for health care centers to provide critical reproductive health care services, including family planning, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, as well as safe, legal abortion care.  These regulations, specifically the time and resources required to alter the health care facilities, will increase the financial barriers and hurdles for patients and, ultimately, will limit women's opportunities - especially poor and rural women - to find health care providers for these essential services.
