This is embarrassing

If the purposed regulations are enacted, requiring that abortion clinics be regulated as hospitals, it does nothing but make the sate government of Virginia look like an incompetent, uneducated, extremist regime, no better than countries like Iran.

Supporters of these regulations claim they are interested in the health of women, or that clinics aren't adequately regulated.  Both of these points are false.  If members of the anti-choice community were legitimately concerned with women's health than they would have universally regulated facilities that perform similar, if not MORE risky proceedures such as plastic surgery centers, and dentist's offices.  But they didn't.  They have singled out clinics providing abortions, because though we live in America, they think it's acceptable to push their moral and religious beliefs on other people.

Abortion clinics are already heavily regulated in the state of Virginia.  Furthermore, there have been no incidents warranting an increase in regulation.

Do the right thing people.  You may not like abortion, and I respect that choice, but that's YOUR choice.  We don't live in a theocracy, and using loopholes and shady dealings to promote your own religious and moral convictions is dispicable.

The proposed regulations are unwarranted, unethical, illogical and a gross abuse of power.
