TRAP Regulations - Unjust and Unsafe

It is a sad day for Virginia women that these regulations are being put into effect.  Have there been widespread complaints of medical misconduct or inapproriate accomodations for abortion clinics?  No.  Have these clinics not been held more stringently to standards and procedures than any other outpatient facility?  Absolutely.

By enacting these burdensome regulations, you will not stop abortion - even while our legislature likes to play doctor and insist upon unecessary ultrasounds and taking steps to make sure fertilized eggs are PERSONS.  What you will do is just recriminalize it.  If women do not have safe, legal access to abortion they will resort to illegal - LETHAL - means to do what they feel is best in ending a pregnancy.  And you cannot legislate the black market, for it is established by the very laws you make to "end abortion."  If you need a reference see the current drug war, illegal immigration cunundrum, and/or restrictive gun laws in some states.

I - a woman person, resident of this Commonwealth, express my sorrow and dismay at how ideology and politics has trumped logic with this legislation.  Let's be honest, womens' safety was never the concern here, though it was a good cover.  May none of those you love or befriend suffer at the reach of your unneeded and burdensome "care" of these regulations.
