I support the regulations for oversight of programs for gifted and dual-exceptionality children in our schools and beliefe that the criteria for identification option should be reinstated. Education for students with various kinds of gifts and talents is essential for the good of society in general, and should always take priority over political leanings, expediency, or (to the extent possible) financial considerations. Surely we have the resources to do things the right way for our children. Dr. Elizabeth J. Deis, Associate Dean of the Faculty, Hampden-Sydney College
