The gifted program is already an underfunded program in the state of Virginia.  We can not afford to lose any more funding!  The State Department of Education needs to maintain control over the 5 year plan for the Gifted Program. The students affected by the proposed changes are some of our brightest stars of the future.  We need to do more to help these children in school!
