It is essential that the Virgina Board of Health amend the proposed permanent regulation of abortion providers to enable continued safe, affordable, legal reproductive health care statewide. That would include first timester abortions.
I have read the excessive regulations that provide no additional quality of care and are intended only to prevent access to health care for those who could not afford the alternatives. Regulations should be science-based in response to the actual procedures undertaken. Women's lives and the quality of their lives are at stake.
Thank you for your consideration.
