This is such a transparent effort to suppress legitimate voters that the proponenets shoud be embarrassed.  Elections are about getting the most supporters to vote for you, not about suppressing votes by your opponents supporters. Please remember that this country stched to one person one vote and enfranchised the women and minorities a century ago, and dispose of this gimmickry for tilting future elections unfairly.
