Peer review, 5 year plans, DOE oversight and dedicated funding for GT programs are vital to the integrity of the gifted programs.  Without these regulations, gifted education will become inconsistent and weakened.  Gifted students’ needs can not be met in a regular classroom.  These children need and deserve the enrichment, challenges and motivation provided by a gifted curriculum.
