I agree that concealed weapons permit holders should be allowed to carry concealed weapons in state parks and I think this is a step in the right direction to restoring the rights of law abiding citizens to protect themselves, but I also think it should be expanded to include open carry as well. Actually, since open carry as well as concealed carry is already allowed in public spaces throughout the state,  I don't think there is a need for specific firearms restrictions of any kind within state forests beyond  the current state laws that apply to all other public spaces within the state.
