CCW in Virginia forest parks

I feel very positive about the new regulations that allow certified CCW holders to carry hand guns within the boundaries of public parks. I feel much safer knowing that if I am attacked by a wild animal, or a criminal within the park that anyone nearby may be carrying a weapon that can discourage the attack and possibly save my life. You can be sure that criminals will now think twice before they continue to use public parks as their venues of choice for drug transactions and other crimes. Rangers cannot be everywhere, but having law abiding citizens within the park who have gone through the training and paid the fees to become responsible gun carriers can turn the tide against many safety hazards and criminal activities within the public park system. Those who would poach and use firearms wrongfully will still smuggle guns into parks illegally as they always have, but having some good guys around who are equally armed makes me feel safer.
