Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170

I understand the Virginia Department of Forestry is currently accepting public comment on the proposed amendment to Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170, which would allow concealed carry permit holders the ability to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense in Virginia's state forests.  I respectfully urge the Virginia Department of Forestry to amend the Administrative Code and support the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Virginians.  The murder of VA Tech students in Jefferson National Forest last year is a perfect example of why law-abiding citizens with concealed carry permits should be allowed to carry their guns in State Forests to defend themselves.  Criminals will carry weapons into State Forests regardless of the State Regulations or Laws, so why shouldn't honest law-abiding citizen be able to defend him or herself in an area where help from police could be hours away?  Please apply common sense and amend the current regulation.  Thank You.
