concealed carry in state parks

Dear Legislators,

I urge you to uphold the intent of the 2nd Ammendment of the US constitution by inacting legislation allowing the lawful concealed carry of a firearm in Virginia's State Forests.  I can think of no place in the Commonwealth where this right is more important, perhaps miles and or hours from the nearest law enforcement officer.  Please give the law abidding visitors to your State Forest the ability to LEGALLY  carry a concealed weapon with iwht to defend themselves when the should the need arise.

While a NC resident, I frequently visit Virginia for recereational opportunities.  I escpecially enjoy the Grayson Highland State Park and the surround National and State Forests and hiking the Appilachain Trail.  These are area's where one shuld enjoy the 'FREEDOM OF THE HILLS'" without the fear of having to defending oneself from illegally armed persons looking to forcefully perform illegal acts to ones property or body.  Perhaps such acts that would leave on injured and unable to go to medical help or even worse, dead.

Thank you for your thoughts of my email when you consider the legislation about concealed carry of firearms in Stat Forests (and hopefully State Parks

Sincerely,

Christian E Rasmussen, SSgt, Retired,USMC,  Charlotte, NC
