I am writing to request the the Virginia Department of Forestry amend their administrative code to allow holders of concealed carry permits recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia to carry those concealed handguns on state forest lands.

These same individuals may now carry in many highly populated areas; state forests do not seem to present any special hazard.  Furthermore, many state forest lands border other lands where concealed carry is lawful; having to be precisely aware of wilderness boundries seems to place an undue burden on those seekng to lawfully carry without providiing any compelling benefit in this instance.
