6VAC20-171-240-A-9 Compliance Agent

Due to liaibility issues, There are reasons the Electronic Security businesses set up several different corporations under the same ownership and divide the business into several different areas. This is especially true with monitoring companies. If the corporations are closely held and have the same owners, they should be allowed to have the same compliance agent. There are also small business with only several persons, and they have a difficult time understanding all the requirements in the law and regs. being able to hire a qualified Compliance Agent to oversee their activity would actually be a help to the Department. Maybe even a training course and a registration catagory for them.

We have several corporations and it is no reason that one Compliance cannot handle the task. The seperate corporations are located in the same building and the records are in the same filing cabinet.

It would also be better for the department to have one person to contact for several businesses.
