Dear Sirs,

I am writing to urge you to allow concealed carry in Virginia's state parks by law abiding, permit carrying citizens. While crime in the parks is low, nearly every year there is a news article about some isolated person or couple being attacked in a park with rape and murder of the victims being the end result. I submit that the criminals in the parks are armed and have no regard for the laws, and are emboldened by the knowledge that law abiding citizens in the parks will be defenseless. Therefore, it makes since to allow those that do obey the laws be enabled to protect themselves in those situations.
