As a law abiding citizen and a active duty member of the armed forces I believe that I should have the right to protect myself, my family and any other law abiding citizens whom I find in need no matter where I am and this encludes Virginia State Parks.  Allowing criminals to know that the parks are an open zone for doing crime because all the law abiding citizens are unarmed is wrong.  The key to this is that we are talking about law abiding citizens who are the ones that are being handicapped by being the ones that can not protect themselves.
