I respectfully request that the State Dept. of Forestry in Virginia allow law abiding citizens who have a concealed carry permit to take a handgun with them onto our State Forest lands. I am an avid outdoors person and have great respect for our natural resources, and for those who have the responsibility to manage and care for them. We have citizens who enjoy walking the trails, huntining and/or camping on our State controlled  forest lands, and with the increase of senseless violence taking place in our society, I am sure these individuals would welcome the opportunity to legally carry a concealed weapon with them for protection.
