Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170

Comment on the proposed amendment to Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170, which would allow concealed carry permit holders the ability to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense in Virginia's state forests.  I am a retired Army Veteran who loves camping and have a concealed carry.  Everyone I know that has a concealed carry permit are law abiding people who know the laws and how to safely handle a firearm.  Criminals do not.  This country and getting a little crazy and what better place to commit a crime on an individual or family - the state forests.  Crimes commited against law abiding citizens that respect the land, other people and what a firearm can do.

Please admend the law to allow concealed carry.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
