Please enter into the record that I support the amendment of Virginia State Forest Regulation No. 4VAC10-30-170 to permit licensed Concealed Carry Permit holders to carry concealed weapons in Virginia State Forests for the purpose of self defense. 

Several high-profile incidents in recent years have made it abundantly clear that Virginians must be prepared to defend themselves while in the back country as law enforcement personnel cannot be expected to lend immediate assistance in remote areas.
