I want to respectfully urge you, as a Virginia resident and concealed handgun permit holder, to carefully consider the rights of law abiding Virginia residents who have willingly submitted ourselves to intrusive background investigations and documented our levels of training in the proper, lawful use of firearms, to carry those firearms in Virginia’s State forests within the bounds of Virginia law.  The rights of Virginia residents should extend into Virginia’s forests and not end at their boundaries.  Thank you for your consideration.
