Please support the rights of law abiding Virginians.  They're permitted by Virginia law to carry most other places, that law should certainly apply to public properties supported by their tax dollars.  The federal government has already recognized this right, it's hard to imagine why Virginia wasn't already doing so.  The time has come.

Also, it has become an increasing modus operandi across the country for criminals to assault innocent visitors to these remote areas. Police and park personnel cannot be responsible for protecting everyone, everywhere.  Should we not be able to protect ourselves ?  Persons possessing concealed carry permits do not commit violent crimes, they prevent them !
