FIREARMS CARRY IN STATE FORESTS

I encourage a rules change to allow firearms to be carried in concert with the existing laws of the Commonwealth, e.g., both open and concealed carry, by those who may otherwise legally do so.

The are two important points to note:

 (1) It is appropriate for State property (including Forests) to conform to the laws of the land (both State statute and the Second Amendment),  This avoids a patchwork of obscure regulations and needless restrictions.

(2) The very nature of State Forests and the extremely limited ability of the State to provide adequate  police protection and response to incidents in State Forests, in a timely manner, necessitates the ability of citizens to protect themselves.
