Concealed Carry in Va Forests and parks

I would like to respectfully submit my comments strongly supporting concealed carry in Virginia Forests.  I am a 62 year old former US Marine and current licensed Virginia and North Carolina Clinical Psychologist and co- managing partner of a large general Psychiatric practice with pver 50 employees and professionals.

In the years since my wife and I acquired our concealed carry permits for the protection from the risks my profession can entail, I have determined to educate myself about the responsibilities and skills required as well as the community of concealed carry permit holders. Well, now I realize they are often hyper resonsible, strongly rule governed folks who don't want to break rules like myself.

I am a bit of an adventurer and enjoy long distance cycling, running, jet ski touring and back packing. I often angage in these activities alone sich as cyclying  the skyline Drive and backpacking on the Appalachian trail. Being alone i would really like the extra security of being able to carry concealed .I don't think I am the kind of person the public has to fear and I believe the crime statistics show that we permit holders have a much lower crime rate, because we don't like to break rules.

Respectfully,

Mark A. Warren Ph.D.
