Concealed Carry in Virginia Forests

I support concealed carry to be allowed in Virginia State Forests as a deterrant to serious criminals that look for secluded areas to take advantage of law abiding residents. Without sounding like a commercial for the NRA, my wife and I are afraid to go camping unless we are with a group of people.

I live in Northern Virginia, and I see that Arlington and Fairfax Counties have about a dozen murders per year, and DC, Montgomery County, MD, and Prince George County, MD have over a thousand murders each year with less population.

The criminals know where to go to find more vulnerable targets, that are less likely to have protection.

Thank you,
Scott Hardy
