I commend the Virgina Department of Forestry for proposing a rule change which will permit the lawful carrying of firearms within State Forest lands.  I understand from the Virginia Citizens Defense League that the current wording does not, however, include express provision for the Open Carry of firearms, which is otherwise legal throughout the State.  It is my opinion that the current wording be amended to expressly include the Open Carry of firearms.  Thank you for your time.
