I support the rule change, but I also want open carry to be legal in state forests as lawful open carry is already legal under Virginia law. Personally, I think the law should be plain & simple that one can a firearm (concealed or open carry) for any lawful purpose anywhere in Virginia. That covers illegal hunting & violence as unlawful purposes.
