Strongly support both concealed and open carry in the rule change

I strongly support this proposed regulatory change to carry concealed firearms with a valid concealed carry permit in State Forests. I further believe that the change must include provision to open carry as well. In upholding our God-given right to self-defense as enshrined in our 2nd Amendment, the mode of carry should not be an issue. The same changes should be applied to State Parks and other state lands.

When he was the Attorney General, now-Governor McDonnell published a formal opinion that State Parks and other state agencies did not have the power to ban openly carried handguns. It's time to put that well-considered opinion into practice.

Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
