I support the proposed rule change to allow for carriage of firearms in state forests by concealed handgun permittees (CHP).  However, many Virginians and visitors are not CHP holders, but openly carry firearms for self protection as well.  The regulations for carry of firearms in state forests should come into compliance with state law and allow for all forms of firearm carry (concealed and open) as provided in any other portion of the state.
