As a gay person living in Northern Virginia I absolutely support equal rights.  Offering benefits to gay state employees will ensure that the state has an opportunity to attract ALL of the best and brightest employees.  To those who say that this will bankrupt the state, please note that domestic partner insurance benefits are actually taxed as income, which means more money in the state coffers, not less.
