Until we get rid of the asinine restrictions on who can marry and thus be considered spouses, this is at least a step on the road to equality so that all have access to heathcare. Denying spousal benefits to adults in a committed relationship (aka sharing the household) who are not currently allowed to "marry" is discriminatory, and should be fixed - this action will help with that.
