RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE HANDLING OF FORENSIC WORK - DIVISION OF FORENSIC SCIENCE (REPEALED)

1VAC30-80-10. Rules and regulations governing the division of forensic science in acceptance of evidence for scientific investigation. (Repealed.)

A. Only evidence relating to criminal investigations in which criminal prosecution is anticipated will be accepted unless specified by law or authorized by the head of the Division of Forensic Science or his designated representative.

B. Evidence previously examined by laboratories other than those of the Division of Forensic Science will not be accepted for examination without the specific approval of the head of the Division of Forensic Science or his designated representative or as directed by court order.

It is herein the rule and regulation of the Board that all facilities assigned to the Division of Forensic Science are designated restricted areas and only properly authorized persons are permitted access.

Authorization may be granted by the Division Director, his Assistant Director and Supervisors.
