VDOT seeks public comment to determine whether the regulation meets the following goals:

1. To encourage the use of alternate fuels to improve air quality.
2. To aid Virginia’s economy.
3. To reduce dependence on imported fuels.
4. To protect the public's health, safety, and welfare with the least possible cost and intrusiveness to the citizens and businesses of the Commonwealth.
5. Is the regulation written clearly and understandably?

Regulation Title: Virginia Alternative Fuels Revolving Fund Regulations
Subject: This regulation establishes the procedures VDOT will use in administering the Va. Alternative Fuels Revolving Fund, a program designed to encourage the use of alternative fuels. This program was not funded by the General Assembly after FY 98, but the regulation was not rescinded because funding may be restored in the future.
