Purpose of the meeting PURPOSE OF NOTICE: Announce the first Technical Advisory Committee, or stakeholder, meeting of the pending water quality, or Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) study for a portion of the James River watershed in Lynchburg, Virginia. MEETING DESCRIPTION: This is a kickoff meeting to outline the pending water quality study lead by the Virginia Department of Quality to identify sources of bacteria contamination in eight stream segments from the James River watershed, which collectively drain from portions of Bedford, Campbell and Amherst Counties and City of Lynchburg. This meeting will outline the pending study, present opportunities for public comment, and provide a project timeline. The meeting is open to anyone that might be interested in this study. | |
