| Purpose of the meeting The Board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. In conjunction with the Board meeting, the Board will hold a public hearing at 10:00 a.m., to receive public comment on the proposed Regulation of the Harvest of Ginseng (2 VAC 5-321). In addition, staff will request the Board’s approval of the following regulatory actions: - Notice of Intended Regulatory Action – 2 VAC 5-60, Rules and Regulations Governing the Operation of Livestock Markets; - Notice of Intended Regulatory Action – 2 VAC 5-120, Rules and Regulations Governing the Recordkeeping by Virginia Cattle Dealers for the Control or Eradication of Brucellosis of Cattle; - Notice of Intended Regulatory Action – 2 VAC 5-610, Rules Governing the Solicitation of Contributions; and - Fast-Track Action – Proposed amendments to 2 VAC 5-410, Rules and Regulations for the Enforcement of the Virginia Agricultural Liming Materials Law. The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes. Any person who needs any accommodations in order to participate at the meeting should contact the person identified in this notice at least five days before the meeting date so that suitable arrangements can be made for any appropriate accommodation. | |||||||||||
