| Purpose of the meeting The Board will meet to discuss issues related to Virginia agriculture and consumer services. In addition, the Board will consider the following regulatory actions: 1. Fast-track action to repeal 2 VAC 5-260, Regulations Establishing the Virginia Quality Label; 2. Final adoption of 2 VAC 5-320, Rules and Regulations for the Enforcement of the Endangered Plant and Insect Species Act; 3. Exempt action to repeal 2 VAC 5-335,Virginia Emerald Ash Borer Quarantine for Enforcement of the Virginia Pest Law; 4. Request to adopt proposed text and move to the Proposed Stage 2 VAC 5-440, Rules and Regulations for Enforcement of the Virginia Pest Law – Cotton Boll Weevil Quarantine; and 5. Petitions for Rulemaking: 2 VAC 5-670, Rules and Regulations for Enforcement of the Virginia Pesticide Law and 2 VAC 5-680, Regulations Governing Licensing of Pesticide Businesses Operating Under Authority of the Virginia Pesticide Control Act. The Board will also receive reports from agency staff on the Commissioner’s action to expand 2 VAC 5-330, Rules and Regulations for the Enforcement of the Virginia Pest Law – Virginia Gypsy Moth Quarantine and 2 VAC 5-318, Rules and Regulations for the Enforcement of the Virginia Pest Law – Thousand Cankers Disease Quarantine. The Board will entertain public comment at the conclusion of all other business for a period not to exceed 30 minutes.
